Sarris Ice Cream Parlor - Canonsburg

My partner and I visited this restaurant for the first time on Valentine's Day. We were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful selection of dishes available, especially since we are both diabetic and had been worried about finding options suitable for us.

We are thrilled to have ended our Pittsburgh fishing trip at Klavon's Superior.

This is my go-to spot in my hometown for delicious ice treats! I always have a great time here. The ice salon is spacious and has lovely stone outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying in the summer months.

When you go to Sarris Candies, take a small step back in time with their old fashions Soda Shoppe Vibe. Sarris candy is not just a store that sells its product. The building consists of a retail store, an ice salon and a factory... all that is housed in a building the size of a football field. I was amazed at the bins and am available for sale by chocolate treats and shelves of beautifully packed products. But what was most impressive was the beautiful facility that was a treat for all ages. This company has grown into a multimillion dollar company since its foundation in 1960. On the Sarris website you can read about the “sweet” start of the company by Frank’s homemade candy gifts for which later his wife would become. If you happen to travel on I-79 directly south of Pittsburgh and have a little more time, take a short walk at the Cannonsburg exit to check the sweet treats for yourself.

This place will feel any of every age like a child in a candy shop! As much candy as it is to choose, save space for ice because you want it!
