Handel's Ice Cream Canton Ohio

One of the things I love most about Handel's is the wide variety of flavors and frozen treats they offer. I visited today and ordered a Hurricane, which is their take on Dairy Queen's Blizzard, made with vanilla ice cream and Oreo cookies. It was DELICIOUS! Another of my favorites is the strawberry cheesecake ice cream. It’s made from scratch and includes real strawberry pieces, chunks of cheesecake, and a graham cracker swirl. It's incredibly tasty. While their core ice cream flavors remain consistent, they also introduce seasonal options, and the best part is that Handel's is open year-round! Be sure to stop by, try something new, and don’t forget to tip the staff at the window. They are always busy but serve you promptly and with a smile.

Handels offers a fantastic variety of flavors. I highly recommend trying the peanut butter parfait and the graham central station. Purchasing quarts is a great value if you're feeding an entire family, though you’ll need to come to a consensus on the flavors.

Edited: We?ve been back since I wrote this review. The trash has been picked up and it?s a lot cleaner. Thanks for listening to your customers! Good ice cream but sadly, the sitting area has trash littered on the ground around the benches and both trash cans were overfilled. The cement could use a good powerwashing. Ice cream was melted and ran down our hands. (It wasn?t hot outside. We were not given napkins.

This ice cream shop surpasses many well-loved mom-and-pop establishments. If you believe your favorite locally-owned ice cream stand is great, it should at least be able to compete with this chain when compared directly.

I can't eat ice cream, but my kids do. Whenever they are home from college on break, they pick different places to try. Their favorite flavor is cotton candy. They weren't too crazy about the chocolate chips that are pre-mixed into it, but the ice cream itself was great. The gummy worms added were also great. Wish you had Italian ice for us lactose intolerant folks, but I know that's a big ask being that you specialize in homemade ice cream. Would probably improve business if a drive-thru could somehow be added here, but logistically not sure if you could. Overall good experience on a frigid night.
