Pepe's Mexican Cantina - Canyon Lake

Establishment is large and spacious. My server was friendly and inviting. I ordered the burrito with rice and beans on the side. The burrito was massive. The food was delicious. I had to ask for a box to go.

After 35 years of living in the valley, I finally went to Pepe's. It was amazing!! Service was perfect! It was very clean! Portion was big! And...the food... wow! I ordered surf and turf fajitas and could not finish it! The flavor was so good! My buddy got a shrimp burrito and loved it and said they loaded it with shrimp! I'll be going back frequently. The salsa was also delicious!! Try it out!!!

I’m giving this place a five star because when I go in it’s the same older lady that comes rushing out to serve me on the spot getting my drink immediately and is always visible if I need anything while I’m eating she’s such a pleasure to have as a waitress and she works really hard Not only does she serve our food but the other day I saw her cleaning the windows and I always get the tortilla chicken soup and it’s delicious.

We went on a Saturday night around 7:00. The place was empty yet the food was cold, salsa tasted like tomatoe sauce, the beans were worse than can beans, the rice tasted like it came out of a bag/microwave, chicken fajitas were flavorless and burned. After 6 years since we had eaten there I guarantee we will NOT be going back! Horrible experience

Any more American Mexican it would be Del Taco! Classic Rock, beer and decent not spicy food. It's not bad for booze and food.
