As for the Lemon Sunshine Cake, it was a pleasant surprise. The pound cake was light, and the lemon flavor was spot-on. The first (and only) bite I had made my eyes widen and my lips pucker, which I believe is exactly what a lemon dessert should do—if it doesn’t, what’s the point? The presentation was stunning; it featured two diagonal slices of pound cake arranged on a slate plate, with just enough whipped cream to anchor the cake in place. I will mention that the desserts were a bit pricier compared to other restaurants in the area, but the quality and portion size justified the cost (though I'd be happy if they were a tad more affordable). We stayed for happy hour and enjoyed some very reasonably priced wines. While savoring our drinks and desserts, we perused the lunch and dinner menus. Both offered intriguing options that we haven't seen at other local restaurants. A nearby table ordered the eggs with three halves, where the whites were deep-fried. Once again, the presentation was beautiful! Prices seemed quite reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber. If you can’t tell, I’m a big fan of presentation; it significantly enhances the overall dining experience. Fortunately, the quality of Rudy’s food doesn’t need any extra help, but it certainly adds a nice touch. The restaurant itself is very clean and has a rustic charm, with lots of natural wood and cement floors. The chefs are visible to guests, and there’s even a pizza oven. Bob and I definitely plan to return. Anyone want to join us?

What a great place!! Almost not visited because we thought it was just a pizza place, far from it!! Fantastic small place with amazing food, service and prices. We have a wood-fired pizza, gourmet burgers and chicken bites - all great and unique! Also loved the sound system and played large albums (real vinyl) on a very nice sound system. Great food variety and everything was great!!

My daughter visited her for a late brunch of early lunch.. Staff exceptional friendly service spot on. Well made immediately and coffee immediately during the search over the menu, waiter offered advice on a brunch article baked beef hashash with eggs, recomendation soon picked potatoes on the bottom with a generous part of horned beef with eggs and cheese..couldn't finish. Can't write enough cheap thoughts High quality

The first time there, waitress was a good work, food was great, cozy rustic atmosphere, Vogelg Burger and Pommes cooked for perfection, definitely will be back

I can't believe how gorgeous this place is. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I had lunch there last week and the Margherita pizza was the best I have had in the Portland area. I love that they have wine on tap and good selection of sour beers. I will definitely be heading back soon!
