Walked into this place and I liked the cosyness of the place. Was even more impressed when I was told that there is a bigger space at the back of the restaurant. Was taken through and was impressed with the ambience of the place.I felt like I was in a partially outdoors vintage location; all the furniture being aged and unique. The background music didnt seem to disappoint.Even though I didnt have anything to eat, the food that I did see people having looked awesomely delicious.
Don't be fooled by the front area of this restaurant, as it's quite small, there is a big area at the back, which is artfully decorated, the type of establishment where you could easily spend a few hours socializing or working, sipping on tasty coffee and eating.<br <br It's a truly welcoming establishment with super friendly service, and the food (vegan vegetarian) options are diverse and tasty. <br <br Go there!
Mike Hathorn and I went Marley Coffee off the back of reviews on social media. We started with the vegan chicken mayo toasted samie and the facon and avo toasted samie. They were both really impressive and moreish. I’d say they’re a little petite to fill you right up for a lunch, but we were brunching, so we kept going. Next was the vegan waffle covered in beautiful fresh fruit and dollops of coconut cream. We loved it. Finally, we topped everything off with the vegan French toast, which comes with fried banana, facon and strawberries. I was slightly less taken with this dish, as it didn’t quite hit the French toast notes I hoped it would. But overall, we liked the vibe, and loved the food, so we’ll definitely be back. The coffee’s not bad either :
Awesome vegetarian and vegan coffee shop and cafe with a unique but very relaxed experience.<br/ <br/ Had the vegan chicken mayo (with side of chips). I enjoyed it, but felt it was too light; not a whole lot of filling, and small bread to begin with. Would be reluctant to spend R60 for this again. The iced coffee was good, and the Zang vegan coffee is also good.<br/ <br/ The vegan gluten-free waffles have a very healthy feel and taste. It feels more like a fruit salad. You can tell from the photo it’s tasty and with generous toppings.
