Ragamuffin Curry Cape Town

Ordered takeout and have not been before...had the butter chicken and it was off the charts good...quality of the curry and sides was outstanding..will ask for more heat next time ....happy camper

We have a boerseun who makes better curry’s than any of the Indians around. Great dishes and a great atmosphere! We love his Margate twist on a chicken curry.

We recently visited Ragamuffins in our ongoing search for a delicious, reasonably priced curry in Cape Town, and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has a charming, quirky atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly, including the lovely owner who enjoys chatting with guests. The food was excellent, with plenty of extra touches that elevated the experience. This little gem is definitely worth checking out, and we will definitely return to sample some more adventurous dishes. My boys are especially eager to return on a Tuesday for their Bunny Chow special. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

This charming little hideaway is tucked away in the southern suburbs. It has a delightful ambiance and a welcoming atmosphere. The curries are fantastic, with plenty of meat, vegetarian, and vegan choices! I highly recommend the Ethiopian red lentils as a main dish, paired with the eggplant, chickpea, and peanut curry as a side. Don’t miss out on the raw vegan brownie for dessert—it’s a must-try! This curry is truly one-of-a-kind. The flavors are incredible, and each dish is distinct from the others. Absolutely delicious! It's a hidden gem in the heart of Kenilworth, serving excellent food made by wonderful people.
