Melinda's Gluten Free Bakery - Capitola

I was thrilled to discover the wide variety of vegan and gluten-free options available at this restaurant. I ended up purchasing a variety of items, such as donuts, croissants, bagels, and vegan breakfast sandwiches. The long line of loyal customers eagerly waiting for the restaurant to open further confirmed its popularity.

I'm not sure why it took me so long to discover Melinda's. Even though I haven't been gluten-free for long due to health reasons, I enjoy trying different varieties of bakeries and flavors, so I was delighted to come across this hidden gem. The bakery not only has a charming atmosphere, but their treats are delicious as well. It's not your typical bland and soggy gluten-free items that you usually find. I sampled their croissants (ham and cheese, chocolate, plain), Affenbrot, and Havarti/Turkey baked sandwich, all of which were scrumptious. I arrived later in the afternoon and many items were already sold out, indicating how popular their baked goods are. I definitely plan to return soon to try more of their offerings. While I typically lean towards savory items, I will also give their sweets a try. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. It was my first visit, so I had many questions and they were more than willing to explain all of the options to me. I am grateful to have stumbled upon Melinda's, as it has been a challenge to find tasty gluten-free treats elsewhere. I'm sure I will become a regular customer.

Wow! I'm in vegan and gluten-free heaven at this restaurant. The vegan cheese veggie sandwich is top-notch, even for those who can consume dairy, and the donuts are incredibly moist and delicious. I'm so thankful that someone recommended this place to me. I regret not discovering it sooner!

This may be the best gluten free bakery I’ve eaten at! The laminated pastries are so crispy!!!
