Tacos Moreno - Capitola

While it may not be my favorite Mexican restaurant in town, it's consistently good and ranks among the best. The family-run establishment provides a warm, friendly atmosphere with excellent customer service. They use high-quality ingredients and offer a selection of beers on tap. It's certainly a great spot for lunch or dinner.

Our family visited this restaurant after experiencing poor service at Zelda's, the place next to Tacos Moreno. The gentleman at the front welcomed us warmly and served us the most delicious Mexican food I've ever tasted. He even graciously allowed my younger siblings to bring in pizza from another restaurant since they are picky eaters. The taco salad here is exceptional! I only wish they had more seating to accommodate the many customers who wish to enjoy a meal here. If you're in the area, I highly recommend dining here with your family.

We love this institution! Some of the best Burritos and Tacos ever! Family business and great customer relationships. You can't beat salsa, always consistent! A must stop when you go in the neighborhood or it!

Definitely worth a visit! It would become a favorite if we lived closer. We enjoyed the Carnitas Taco salad, beef nachos, and a Carnitas flour tortilla. Everything was delicious and the portion sizes were great for the price.

A good experience every time with service you can count on! Tacos Morenos is one of the go-to taquerias in Santa Cruz, whether it be the Capitola location or Water Street in Santa Cruz. I highly recommend trying it out if you haven’t already. It is cash only, but no need to line your pockets too much. The food is affordable and you get a nice portion.
