I would request Chez Ashton to serve vegetarian options too for their famous poutine. I was surprised to know that Chez Ashton has only one type of gravy for their poutine which is pork meat based. And we came to know about this while we were ordering our food. Consequently, we cancelled our orders and came back outside. There should be a vegetarian gravy option too for people who don't eat pork meat or pork meat based products.I would say that the lady at the register was polite and honest and conversed with us in English. We have been facing a language barrier at few other restaurants while ordering food.We were visiting Quebec City from Toronto and had heard about Chez Ashton from a friend.
Great poutine, never actually tasted anything else on the memu. The lack of recycling for their aluminium containers is absolutely baffling and unacceptable in 2021.
Fast service with a cover to eat outside.there is a lot of tables outside.
Classic and staple of QC. A must try if you are in a Quebec City. Wish we had one in Montreal.
