Hunan - Carbondale

Our first time here. Recommended by our hotel staff. Very clean, welcoming, and authentic atmosphere. Has a variety of Asian fusion cuisine. The server was very polite and attentive. Good price for good quality. The shrimp was the perfect size and plentiful. The vegetables and sauces were fresh and delicious. Perfectly cooked sticky rice with a refreshing and comforting flavor. 10 out of 10!

I have never paid so much for bad Chinese food. The sweet and sour chicken is NOT sweet and sour chicken! It's more like BBQ smothered over cooked and fatty chicken. It even has peppers in it. My fried rice, which I had to order a full side of (at almost $7) bc they wouldn't substitute the white rice, was not even cooked all the way. The spring rolls were tiny and no different than the ones you can buy in the frozen section. My husband said the General Tso's Chicken was ehhh, same overcooked and fatty chicken with a different sauce. The Crab Rangoon is only 4 pieces... only 4! What a complete disappointment! And I paid over $50 for the jou of being disappointed

The food is pretty good, fresh love the pot stickers and spring rolls. And the staff was the best!!! Will come back;

Hunan is a great restaurant. Very delicious food. It is a little more expensive than other restaurants in the area, but it is definitely worth it! Lovely atmosphere and good service! It is also very nice to eat off of nice china plates at a restaurant ?

It's a very cozy, very clean, neat restaurant perfectly styled in Chinese styleThe service was excellent. The prices are reasonable, very reasonable. They serve food of different Chinese cuisine traditions, and some Thai and Indian food. It was probably the best Chinese food I have ever tried. Coming back for sure. P.S. pay attention to section Vegetables if you're vegetarian: not all the dishes there are actually vegetarian, but just vegetable based. Vegetarian options: It would be better if vegetarian options would be marked on the menu. Plenty of vegetarian food though.
