I enjoyed a delicious coffee and porridge, while my companion had a vegan sausage toastie. They also had vegan cakes available. The views and service were fantastic. I highly recommend this place.
We tried the vegan vanilla and chocolate ice cream at this restaurant, which was served in a vegan waffle cone. It was delicious with a nut milk flavor. The staff was friendly and made sure to clarify that our order was a preference rather than an allergy, as all the ice creams are stored together.
It is wonderful to see this restaurant improve from lacking options to now having a diverse menu that includes vegan choices. I commend them for this change. They offer a range of sandwiches, cakes, and even sundaes for vegans. We sampled their mushroom panini and double chocolate and nut sundae. Both were decent. The ice-cream had a nice texture but lacked flavor. I added a pinch of salt to enhance it.
26 people in the queue and one poor girl serving take away ice cream. One lady serving coffees inside, taking orders and making drinks. Long wait for the drinks and another couple for simple cheese toasties. Maybe someone called in sick but even then that would seem to be a minimum amount of staff for the amount of customers. Even though they were rushed off their feet the staff were friendly. We won’t bother again.
Terrible service. Server brought put the coffees, no eye contact, smile, no expression. Put the cups on the table and pushed them at us, no response to the thank yous that we delivered. 5 minutes later, she brought out one lunch and did the same with that, went back and collected the second lunch then repeated the same unenthusiastic approach. Not one word spoken to us. Food mediocre but hotter than the reception. Customer service at its finest :
