Heaneys - Cardiff

A really nice and delicious Sunday dinner. starter selection was not really as attractive or varied as expected, but still beautiful

Loved eating and the ambiente at Heaney’s. we had the common taste menu, the sumptuous and only the correct amount to send it into a food coma of sorts. our waiter cameron was very polite, friendly and informative. highly recommended.

Lunch. not busy 3 tables, but the service was too slow. vegan menu sections are tiny and very expensive for sweet. wine on the glass is much too expensive. background music is intrusive. why are there restaurants? especially if they have wooden floors, etc. on the plus side the lunch set menu was excellent, the ochsenstarter and the hake in the teig were both delicious. Portions are a little small. I would have liked a few chips. the service was simply too slow between the head and the dessert. sometimes this is appropriate, but diner should be asked. I had to say.

A birthday lunch on a Tuesday, only 3 tables taken so ambience probably much better on weekend evening. Wonderful food unexpected flavours and beautifully presented. Excellent wine and great service. Not cheap but worth the money. We all had the tasting menu which was very enjoyable. Highly recommended.
