Although one dessert was slightly disappointing, it didn't ruin the overall dining experience. The service was polite and excellent value for money. We will definitely return when we are back in Barry. Highly recommended!
After reading other reviews, we decided to visit this restaurant on a Wednesday evening. We were the second couple to arrive at 7:30pm. The waitress was welcoming and helpful. We regretted not bringing our own wine as the white we chose was not pre-chilled and did not reach a suitable temperature in the cooler. The menu was relatively short, which I appreciate if the options are interesting, but they seemed too basic and dated for our liking. I had calamari with tartare sauce, which didn't feel very Mediterranean - I would have preferred aioli. My dining companion had a prawn cocktail that was ordinary. We then ordered a beef spezzatini and a seafood pasta. The beef dish was good, but the seafood pasta lacked any shellfish and seemed like a pre-cooked mix. The food was presented nicely and reasonably priced, but in a saturated market, some innovation is needed. We don't plan on returning and will instead try Casa Bianca in Cardiff.
After watching Wales at the Millennium Stadium, my group of friends and I decided to try La Galleria since our usual spot, La Luna, was too full. We were pleasantly surprised by the good service and delicious food at La Galleria. This will definitely be our new post-match day hangout spot. I highly recommend this charming little restaurant to anyone. Thank you to the La Galleria team, we will be back again soon!
My girlfriend and I came across this restaurant by accident, and we are happy to find such a hidden gem. I had a spezzatino dish, which could now be one of my new favourites and my girlfriend had a pasta dish with cream sauce and salmon (I think), but what i do know is she loved it. We didnt get to take advantage of the bring your own wine as we didnt plan a visit, but we will definitely return for the food and a bottle of wine. Oh the service was great too, thanks see you soon La Galleria
After hearing that La Galleria had a new Head Chef I decided to give it a try with a few of my friends after the Wales V Ireland Match. To our surprise we were able to walk to the restaurant which is only 10 mins from the Millennium Stadium. On arrival were were greeted by an extremely friendly waitress who seated us and promptly took out drink orders. we were then offered two different menus, both of which were great value. Myself and my girlfriend ordered a meat anti past board for our starter which was extremely generous. We then ordered a pizza and a lasagne, both of which were the best we had tasted in a long while. Everyone in our large party had nothing but positive things to say about their food and the staff at the restaurant. We will be visiting for sure again and want to say a huge thanks for giving us a fantastic end to our day!!!
