Tomato soup to start which was obviously home made and tasted delicious, for mains the half roast chicken with accompaniments was really tasty and highly recommended, all washed down with a pint of Budweiser see my photos and judge for yourself. This place is a little gem near the centre of Cardiff.
Very unwelcoming, they’d mopped with some strong chemicals by 10:20pm and unwelcoming staff and atmosphere. Didn’t stay for a drink.
We ate here because we were staying in the adjoining hotel. It was well organised and the staff were helpful. Food was good.
Poor service! Went to lunch last weekend and the meal itself was awful. We were a party of 7 and the only customers in the restaurant. We waited an hour and half for our lunch to be served, when questioned we were told that the chef was not in so someone else was cooking the food. We had ordered two children’s cheeseburgers, they came without the cheese. Another order of Halloumi and Chips was served without mushy peas and pesto mayonnaise, had to ask for them. When they came out mushy peas were cold and handed a ramekin of pesto, no mayonnaise. However, Fay the waitress was amazing! She went above and beyond in helping to keep the children entertained in the long wait. She seemed genuinely embarrassed by us having to wait so long and the food being incorrect. Fay you are definitely a credit to the company!
I stopped by after visiting a university open day. The interior was lovely, the staff was great, and the food was very good. There were nice choices on the menu, and out of the three meals we had, the pizza was the standout winner. I would definitely come back again.
