I have been living in Cardiff for a few years and have been searching for a restaurant that not only serves good food, but also provides great service. This place uses high quality ingredients to create fresh dishes. I will definitely be returning as a new weekly customer and encourage them to keep up the good work.
We were over in Cardiff for a gig and didn’t fancy breakfast at the hotel. I’d been to Penylan Pantry once before and we thought it was worth the walk to try to get in for brunch. We were lucky enough to get the last...table (Saturday morning) and ordered the meat and veggie breakfast bowls. Lots of variety in foods in one bowl, some hot and some cold (not sure the cold, but beautifully cooked soft boiled eggs, will ever be my preference over hot) but everything tasted great and was very satisfying. The coffee was good too. I’d spotted some lovely chocolate croissants when I paid at the counter and asked for two to be bagged up so we could take them home. They were, without doubt, the best we’ve ever had, a real treat. It’s a smashing little place and well worth a visit.
Delicious! Friendly! Wonderful! I had the breakfast bowl; all of the elements were delicious and the black pudding is the most flavourful kind I have ever eaten. The service was fantastic and there was such a happy atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.
Awful visit at penylan, staff were rude to begin with, food was undercooked overall was an shocking service!
