The customer service at this restaurant was outstanding, and the variety of bakery items, especially the lamingtons and bread, was wonderful. Great job, guys!
Torrisi's Bakehouse has the greatest range of pies in the district..Being of French origin they also make some of the best french pastries in north Queensland..Definately worth calling in a nd sampling their range of of pies and pastries.
We walked up and down the street to make a choice, Annie's kitchen looked uninspiring, have been to the servo on the corner before which was not that exciting so expected the Bakehouse to do a decent coffee.Unfortunately it was only a bit of coloured water, found out later they use one shot of coffee to make two cups, which makes the investment in a proper coffee machine a waste of money.Tasted like nothing and did not wake me up to continue my journey. The quiche was alright, not good, not bad, although could have been microwaved a bit longer as some parts were still cool
We stopped for a bite to eat and ended up with pies. Cold pies! I am sorry to say this is one of the worst pies I have ever eaten, and I love pies. There were chunks of gristle in it and it tasted gross. We asked for it to be heated up and we were told they were hot enough but even reheated they were still cold inside. Australia is known for its pies so if you are going to serve them, they should be no less than **** good!
