There's been nights where I've walked past and it's been packed but the night we visited was quite and much more enjoyable for a Friday night drink after comedy at the Powerhouse. Casual atmosphere, laid back service which was nice and unrushed. Good drink range, slightly limited vegetarian options. Enjoyed my Barramundi although the price was a little steep for what was delivered in the context of the location, service and atmosphere. Not related to this establishment, but was disappointed to see a couple let their dog walk across a table and later lick water if the table; why do people do this. Animals do not belong at restaurants and do not belong inseats or tables - leave them at home and strictly at your feet where they are your problem.

Hey Escobar! Do you guys actually open at 12 on Sundays or not? Planned a awesome Sunday afternoon with drinks and a relaxing walk along the river that never happened because you were mysteriously shut! So we went somewhere else that followed their opening hours.

I had an extremely disappointing night here recently. The first issue we encountered was a wait time of over half an hour for drinks to arrive at our table. The second issue was meals served without cutlery (and after politely asking the waiter for a missing fork we again waited 5 minutes before going and asking the bar staff ourselves). The calamari serving size was absolutely dismal for $14 and when we mentioned this to the waiter he said he had received this feedback before! To top it all off the toilets were in a very poor condition with no toilet paper, paper hand towels offered as a replacement and an overused cloth hand towel next to the sink. The only upside to our experience was the attitude of the staff when we mentioned these issues at the end. I really hope things improve for this local option but we will not be giving it a second chance anytime soon.

Decent food and drink but absolutely ruined by terrible service. Disorganised and understaffed. Drinks arriving 40mins plus apart and food taking almost an hour. Would not go back.
