Slacks Track Cafe - Carindale

We have visited for coffee and cake a few times since the café opened. Our most recent visit was for lunch. It is great for coffee and cake, but we would go somewhere else to have a proper meal. The meals menu is limited. The food seems to be pre-cooked and just reheated when ordered. There doesn't seem to be a proper kitchen. There are a few tables out on the footpath but it is very noisy and not at all private. Inside is quite small and cosy, with the tables close together, but the interior decorations around the walls are interesting and pleasant. Some free parking at the back via the back street and a back entrance to the café is good. Toilet also out the back in the carpark. Our rating would be 4 stars for coffee and cake. Would go back again for coffee and cake or a quick light meal.

My husband and I had breakfast at Slacks Tracks. It's only a small place, but the food is really good. Have been for lunch here before as well. Nice variety of food and by all accounts what we have sampled has been very enjoyable :-)

After reading good reviews we stopped in here for breakfast. Unfortunately the Coffee wasn't very good. Food was ok. Kind of tasty but lacked something. Also there wasn't a proper kitchen. So the whole meal was made in the counter area and that was a bit off putting as I sat and watched it made and also I think the prices are not justified. Staff were friendly but a bit unprofessional looking. Could be a really good cafe if these things were changed.

This is quite a small cafe with the food and coffee preparation all within this area so it is quite noisy but the staff are very friendly and polite the coffee was very nice as was the Eggs Benedict but the only thought was the savory mince was more like a bolognese sauce I would have liked to have at least peas to make it "savoury". Not much seating outside but inside is quite cosy and interesting.

Needed a spot to stop for Sunday breakfast and found this cafe on Trip Advisor on our way. Lovely food and great, friendly service! Waffles were definitely a special treat for our son! Wow!
