I visited this local hidden gem yesterday morning and it was bustling with activity. The first thing that caught my eye was the temporary BBQ area set up at the front of the shop, where they serve weekend BBQ rolls. As I entered the café, I noticed a crowd of people near the counter, where four staff members were busy taking orders, with at least two chefs working in the kitchen. The café was divided into a cozy indoor dining area and an outdoor area with long communal tables. I ordered a flat white and the smoked trout for my main dish. The coffee was served promptly and had a strong flavor, although it wasn't my favorite. After a short wait, my smoked trout dish arrived and the presentation was truly impressive. The poached egg on top of the smoked trout, with rocket leaves underneath and dark rye bread at the bottom, was delightful. The smoky flavor of the fish was accompanied by a soft texture, and the combination of the poached egg, rocket, and capers provided a perfect balance of saltiness and acidity. The pickled red onions added a refreshing touch to the dish. Overall, it was a wonderful breakfast experience and I highly recommend this café.
Absolutely the best coffee and friendly service. Nick and the team never dissapoint. The atmosphere is relaxing with plenty of buzz. <br/ This is an absolute gem tucked away in the suburbs. <br/ This is the place for your Saturday morning Brekkie. <br/ <br/ PS.. Hidden away in a side street. Outstanding food and very friendly staff. I can highly recommend the corn and zucchini fritter waffles. The coffee is excellent.
The service at this restaurant is excellent, with a welcoming local atmosphere. The coffee is good and the food is delicious. The mugs are unique and stylish. We tried the coffee, coconut granola, and avocado smash, and everything was delicious.
