Contribuisci feedbackI have been a long standing customer at Fig Tree Deli (since it first opened). The business has just changed hands and needs much improvement regarding quality of customer service. I was very disappointed at the attitude of the young female staff member today. After I had spent a couple of minutes checking out the paucity of lunch offerings in the cabinet, I then decided to order from the menu, I was smugly informed that the kitchen had closed at 2pm and as it was now one minute past 2pm, the kitchen was therefore closed. She had already taken my coffee order, so could have taken my sandwich order first when I believe I would have scraped in to the aforementioned time slot. I found her response to my cancelling the order for coffee, which was OK goodbye , as being offensive. Over many weeks, it is quite obvious that this business needs a boost in customer numbers. This may be unlikely to occur If they continue to treat customers in such a shabby manner. This young lady needs a strong lesson on how to speak to customers. I can understand that lunch hours may need to be respected. It would have been polite to have informed me as soon as I walked in to the cafe, that the kitchen was about to close so that I could quickly place an order. Also some leeway could have been extended if they are keen to increase revenue, or a genuine apology for not being able to service my sandwich request could have been given in this instance. A smirking gotcha attitude, does nothing to appease a customer nor retain return custom. It has certainly lost mine.
Went to Fig Tree Deli this morning and waited 30 minutes for 2 small breakfasts that only included poaching eggs. Came out cold, the bagel was stale, they also forgot a hash brown on one breakfast. Very disappointed.
Quite a big cafe in this shopping centre precinct on a busy corner. Quality of the meals was quite good the ham of the bone is always a good thermometer of a deli’s quality. Classic menu with sandwiches paninis through clubs. Coffee (Merlo) was good even though my cup was overfilled. Service was fine, all a bit awkward at the front counter where a queue clutters up the entrance. If in the area I would go again.
First time here and we will be back. Offering not your normal brunch menu. The chicken burger was healthy and tasty and the savoury mince flavoursome. The mugs are true mugs which means your coffee stays hit while eating.
Scene Breakfast at 10am on Sunday outdoor terrace or in the car park (You choose) Players Brother and myself Summary Big breakfast x 2 plus coffees at around $50 Observations I have never seen a fig tree grow but I have a feeling it moves faster than the front of house staff Kitchen staff though speedy, only concern was two differently cooked poached eggs. But not significant Overall it was just another breakfast, not upset nor impressed
