Ordered 2 full breakfast lady who took the order lovely after that went down hill ..no cutlery .. all the tables still had dirty plates etc on them I had to clear one for us to use .. waited half hour for breakfast .. it arrived to small breakfasts told the lady serving (cook) the order was wrong .. she didn’t look happy she had to go rectify it .. it then came still items missing of one but the hubby said just leave it .. the eggs were rock hard and looked like plastic eggs .. bacon hard .. don’t not waste your money going here .. !
I have never before ate a meal that I would describe as disgusting . That was until today when I visited Asda Cafe (run by Compass Catering) in Carlisle. My intention was to shop at Asda Carlisle on my way home to West Cumbria and on entering the store I noticed the breakfast menus in your cafe, so I decided to have one. Despite menus and displays everywhere they were no longer serving breakfast, so I ordered brunch instead. The lady operating the till was struggling to do so and it was evident she had not been trained. There were no knives or napkins at the cutlery area. Eventually knives were brought out but were still wet because there no napkins I couldn 't wipe it. Due to no napkins or trays, had to place my cutlery onto unclean table. Food arrived eventually (half hour wait) I went to cut into the sausage, and it was so hard that when I eventually cut through it half of it flew off the plate and onto the floor. The black pudding was also rock hard half of it shot of the plate and the rest crumbled into bits. The egg yolk was also rock hard and tasted of gone off cooking oil The bread was stale. The chips were quite nice! I can only describe this meal (at almost £10 including extra bacon (both slices were dry and cold) as absolutely disgusting and one that should never have been served! Being hungry after a long journey, I ate it and I wish I hadn 't. I can not get rid of the vile taste of gone off cooking oil or the smell of it! My stomach had been churning all afternoon and I 'll be surprised if I don 't have an upset stomach tomorrow. Needless to say, after experiencing that cafe, I didn 't do my shopping in Asda, I went to Sainsburys instead. I appreciate Asda contract the cafe service to a catering company (Compass Catering) but surely they have a service level agreement in place with them with regards to the quality of their offering in their name. I should add that the cafe was not that busy and so there is no excuse for serving such disgraceful food.
6 item breakfast. Dried out, lukewarm, almost inedible. 5 items on the plate. Staff run off their feet. Not fit for purpose. Managers should be sacked. Wish I had read the reviews before deciding to eat here.
Service appalling, my jacket potato of tuna and mayonnaise looked like sick and tasted disgusting
