Called here on a Thursday evening, what a great meal we had. Superb choices of food and great vegetarian choices. Fish and Chips and a Vegetarian Brie and nut pie, both meals were absolutely lovely, so tasty and fresh. We shared a nice bottle of wine. The landlord and landlady were attentive and friendly
Malcolm and Jane provide the perfect environment for a family gathering or an intimate meal for two. The premises are COVID secure and the service is second to none. The food is of the highest quality and great value. Jane is an excellent chef. Malcolm mans the bar and is the perfect host making you feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door. I cannot recommend their establishment highly enough.
Had a lovely lunch in the beer garden today. This is a traditional and friendly pub in a beautiful totally unspoiled location in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The food was delicious as were the drinks. The Landlord and Landlady were really welcoming too. We'll definitely dog walk out this way again!
Unsure wether people are getting pubs mixed uo but I am reviewing the blue ball in malton. Staying nearby we decided to visit malton to visit the 2 pubs in my heritage pub book. We loved the 18th century blue ball right up our street. Very old fashioned with lots of period features. Tiny little bar that sits in he centre of the pub. Fascinating. The landlady and locals very friendly and the Rev james real ale on form. Pubs like this are a dying breed and very hard to find please go try it out
