Pompeii Steakhouse - Carlisle

Fab meal, good service. we ordered the Sharing plate and there was a lot of meat so we could not fit into a desert!

Was a bit worried when the steak came out and out how it was well cooked, but that was short lived when we realized that it was on a big hot stone where the meat was ready to cook. it meant we could cut a bit and every piece of steak was hot and spot on. the staff was friendly and helpful and easy to chat. the place is small, cozy and had a nice atmosphere, the people have been happy chatting. it is not a cheaper place, but the steak and chips were worth it and we would definitely go back when we are back in carlisle and I would recommend it to others.

Incredible steak! interesting art of serving when they go for a blue rare steak; served raw with a screaming hot plate of salted granite. very knowledgeable owner with an interesting story background. I would also recommend trying the pinahcas the beef tips. excellent locally produced and prepared meat. not sure why another user has badly checked her without eating here!

Our favorite restaurant in carlisle. the staff is lovely, helpful and friendly. eating is always fantastic. if they like steak, this is the place to go, although they also offer fish and vegetarian options.

Great food and great service. Admittedly the steaks are not cheap (but they are steaks, so what else do you expect? but they are worth it. Friendly, welcoming feel by the owners. Highly recommended.
