The restaurant has a lovely and welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff. The food was delicious, particularly the festive pie which was absolutely gorgeous and reasonably priced. Additionally, they have a small campsite available for motorhomes with access to electric, water, and waste facilities. This place is a hidden gem, perfect for a local weekend getaway.
What a nice suprise this was, stayed in campervan on site. Super clean with electricity and water. Had booked table. Went for a stroll and saw that there was a long cal limousine farm and butsher shop attached. So of course ordered steak pie which contained obviously meat from the Mulholland farm. Which is the only meat used at the Wellington Inn. Owner super great and very knowledgeable about the area and history. Was kind enough to help us book cinema tickets for the 1st showing of the Great escaper starring Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson. Hope to come back soon.
The Welly is where you go when you want a good wholesome homemade meal, Excellent beer and a good crack with the friendly staff and locals. A lovely peaceful garden if you are lucky with the Cumbrian weather, and real homemade chips. Good portions at reasonable prices.
Old pub, traditional decor, cosy, coal fire, beams, real ales on draught, food exceptional. Meat sourced from the butchers in the village (Mulhollndd) Could not find a single fault with service, cost or atmosphere. Had steak chorizo pie with gravy and chips and broccoli bake with chips and garlic bread. Sticky toffee pudding and a jam roly poly.
