This encouraged me to try a dessert.Had the warm pudding with brown sauce. Delicious little cake with a carmel sauce and cream. Better than expected bar/ restaurant menu and food.Keep it up!.
As a table of six we were very disappointed with the quality of food and service we got on our visit and I hope this review will be taken as constructive criticism. We were seated fast but the room had a bad smell and wasn't the cleanest. The waitress done her job but with minimal effort, a bit of friendliness goes a long way. The blackcurrant we got for the table tasted like water but soft drinks were ok. For starters we got 4 soups which tasted closer to curry than the actual curry. The brown bread was stale and had a funny smell and when we got butter it was straight from the fridge and couldn't be spread. On to main course we got 4 Currys, some got runny curry some got thick curry but it tasted bland, served with chips which were average. 1 chicken stir fry which I could make from a frozen bag from aldi. 1 burger which was freshly cooked so was actually quite nice but came with 2 mystery sauces as I couldn't make out what they were maybe a gravey and garlic mayo. Good idea for dipping your chips but quality of taste could be improved. I also ordered the garlic bread which I used a drum sticks because I was bored and the slices were rock solid. Then last but not least we asked for salt and were given a salt shaker with a highly rusted lid and could even see back bits inside. Very disappointed!
Fantastic food. A huge menu to choose from. Staff were very helpful!!
We popped in after a day out yesterday the new bank holiday. It was very busy pity when parties of 2 people take up a bigger table when tables for 2 were free) The place is lovely great atmosphere and feel. Toilets were clean and tidy. The service on whole was great one young staff member not very helpful when I asked about menu and took her ages to clear tables, but a lovely guy served us the meal and blonde lady so friendly done payment, good fresh food we had 2 x garlic mushrooms son I, hubby had caesar salad, mains Id Chicken maryland was lovely the pineapple banana and sweetcorn fritters were unusual but really nice. Hubby had turkey and ham nice deep gravy and son had steak sambo, all really well cooked and served could do with maybe a bit more veg and potatoes with a main meal.I was raging the roast beef had sold out. Will definitely be back it was a really lovely place with decent food, staff and prices. Well done to all.
The food was excellent, and we got a very generous helping of food on the plate. We went for dinner on a Sunday around 12:30 as it wasn't too busy at that time, but after that (13:00), it started to fill up pretty quickly. Will definitely be going back in the future.
