It's worth noting that their Mexican pizza is spicier than usual, even though chili is common on a Mexican pizza. I appreciate their use of meatballs or beef on the meatlovers pizza instead of the traditional salami, ham, and bacon. The crust is slightly thicker than some other places, but not overly thick. I noticed on Eat Now that there is a place called Premium Slice Pizza, which I am pretty sure is also operated by Carlton Pizzeria. The menu is similar, and the delivery driver mentioned he was from Carlton Pizzeria. However, Premium Slice Pizza has a pizza that is not on the Carlton Pizzeria menu, which I really enjoy. It includes chorizo, salami, herbs, and more. Overall, Carlton Pizzeria is a great spot to enjoy delicious pizza and pasta dishes.
Obsessed with the risotto: The staff is always friendly with big smiles. My wife loves the vegetarian pizza and says it's always top quality.
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at this restaurant. Having lived in the Fitzroy area for six years, I have always struggled to find a good delivery pizza or pasta place. While the pizzas here aren't cooked in a woodfire oven like at Supermaxi or Ladro, they are still delicious in their own old-school style. The lasagna was particularly impressive, even better than what I've had at many restaurants on Lygon Street.
Friendly and cozy little pizza/pasta joint. Only a few tables inside for dining in as they mostly do takeaway/delivery. We were the only ones dining in and we felt totally comfortable there. The garlic and cheese focaccia was tasty and crispy and we wolfed it down in a few minutes. The pasta and risotto were well cooked, very creamy and plentiful for us. Dessert was a bit of a let down, because the tiramisu was not tiramisu at all, it was literally just cream on top of some bread and chocolate powder sprinkled on top. I'd steer away from the desserts next time but get their pasta again they do free delivery in the nearby area (including CBD too I've asked) until 11ish every night except Monday, and the minimum order is only $20. The prices on the takeaway/delivery menu are slightly cheaper than dining in too, but I wouldn't mind eating there either because it's a nice little place and the waitresses are very dedicated and enthusiastic.
We went here with a voucher $29) 3 courses ,while not being 5 star there was plenty of food. Shared entree Bruschetta was a pizza) . Limited mains outside pizza. Dessert was a pleasant surprise.
