I ordered the following: - Kingfish teishoku: $30 - Chicken katsu: $25 Review: I have a soft spot for meals that are beautifully presented, and this place excels in that department. The seasonal side dishes offer a delightful variety, allowing you to truly appreciate the freshness of each little condiment. Everything is well-balanced and each item is delicious in its own right. The interior is clean and sleek, with large windows that provide excellent lighting for photos! The staff are friendly and accommodating. However, there are a few areas for improvement. The price for each set meal is quite steep, especially considering the portion sizes. While the platter may appear large, the individual dishes are rather small, so you don’t end up with a lot of food. The beef curry, one of the side dishes, is flavorful and reminiscent of classic Japanese curry, bringing back fond memories from my childhood. However, I would have preferred a more textured beef, like beef ribs, which would offer a succulent, tender chew. What I received was minced beef, which wasn’t particularly enjoyable. Additionally, I found the kingfish to be sliced a bit too thick for my taste; it reminded me more of Korean sashimi rather than the delicate, thin cuts typical of genuine Japanese sashimi.
I really appreciate the service at this restaurant—the waitress was exceptionally charming! They also maintain excellent hygiene practices by requiring guests to sanitize before entering and after leaving, which I found reassuring. The restaurant has a spacious layout, making it a great choice for a romantic date. I loved the variety on the platter; it allowed me to sample a little bit of everything. The salmon was perfectly seared, not overcooked at all. However, considering the price, I was hoping for a bit more. Still, I would definitely recommend this place to others.
Japanese meal set<br/ : Torissong<br/ : DM to book in advance!<br/ <br/ ————————————————————<br/ <br/ : My first meal out was other than Japanese! Been craving Japanese food throughout isolations and finally got them satisfied .<br/ <br/ : Went to Torrisong and was not disappointed at all! Such a good value for money where you choose one main, but you get the whole set!
Amazing lunch deal here where you get to choose a main, and it comes with sides dishes, rice, miso soup and dessert, all for $25. Definitely worth coming back again as the dishes changes everyday, hence you can be assured of the freshest and finest quality dishes each time.<br/ <br/ The chicken katsu and fish katsu were both fried to crisped perfection, while the meat within remained tender. The grilled salmon was delicious and fresh, and a much lighter option compared to the katsu dishes. A filling and most enjoyable meal!
