The Village Stores - Carmarthenshire

My partner and I lived in a log cabin about miles east of llansteffan, went on long walks, and had spent the morning trekking in the village, hoping to get a lunch at our arrival. we have closed the most places to find, the village itself a ghost town of the second houses from the season. Just as we wanted to give up the hope, we have dipped in the village stores to see if they sell food, expecting it to be a leak shop that could make sandwiches, and instead an extensive menu with gluten-free options and a bar room/café area in which to eat. minutes later I have eaten one of the best two gf pizzas I had ever had (the other was in london the environment is friendly and no frills (although there is a licensed bar), so if they are looking for great food and warm welcome, I can recommend it thoroughly.

Very small shop selling very limited items BUT has a bar with a couple of outside tables to the rear well worth a visit if a busy pub is not your scene.

When staying in the village on holiday we always buy the delicious home baked bread from the store. This year we noticed they do pizzas on both a Friday and Saturday, they have a little bistro at the back of the shop which you can eat in or takeaway. Tonight we had a pizza and some bbq ribs to takeout and they were absolutely delicious. The pizza was lovely and was one of the nicest we had had in a long time. What a little gem this place. We will definitely be back .

Bright well stocked shop even a bucket and spade for the children !!. Great homemade bread sold. We enjoyed a freshly cooked omelette with a tasty cup of coffee.

The prices at this restaurant are ridiculously high. It's the only shop in the village, so they take advantage of that. Save yourself some money and drive 15 minutes to Tesco instead. Don't risk getting ripped off here.
