I have visited Club Jalapeno multiple times, and I've always had a great experience! Our favorite dish is the stuffed artichoke — it's absolutely delicious!
We kicked off our meal with a couple of margaritas—one classic with salt and a Cadillac on the rocks with salt. Both were perfectly balanced, combining sweet and tangy flavors for a delightful start. However, we were surprised to find that the chips came at an extra cost—really? While the chips were enjoyable, it felt unnecessary to make them an à la carte item. We paired the chips with some truly delicious guacamole, which was smooth and perfectly seasoned. For our main course, we ordered the Baja Fish Soft Tacos. The menu listed them as “Frittierte”-Fisch, but we requested them grilled instead, which turned out to be a great modification. The tacos came with a lovely cabbage slaw that added a nice crunch, making the dish both tasty and straightforward, and quite filling for two. Ultimately, though, with the drinks, chips, and tacos, the overall price felt a bit steep. On the “Tommy B Restaurant Rating Scale,” which ranges from “A” to “F,” I would give Club Jalapeño a “B.” We could have rated it higher had they included some chips at no extra charge—seriously, is that too much to ask?
We had a hard time finding this place, but we were happy. Your chips were delicious. They were crispy and also had a slight airiness over them. I wrote this review 5 months after my honeymoon in Carmel and still remembered how good this place was.
We had trouble finding the place and our server's dad came out to greet us after we called for directions! How nice! That's device and the food is so yummy too!
