Monterey Cuisine - Carmel

Our dinner last night was excellent and our second time at the restaurant. Our waiter was Justin and his service and charter was on full display as our last visit. He really makes the dinning experience so enjoyable. It's still our new favorite restaurant in Carmel. Highly recommended to anyone that wants great food, great service and excellent atmosphere.

We visited Monterey Coastal Cuisine for a special occasion recently. The food was amazing, the service was exceptional, and the company beyond compare. Our server, Tristan, helped make it a memorable evening for us. We will be back and we'll highly recommend Monterey Coastal to our friends.

We arrived a bit early and had a wonderful table in the outer dining area. Great views, but the patrons sitting at the bar were so loud we couldn't hear each other. Anyway, I enjoyed a nice glass of sake while my friend enjoyed a glass of red wine. My meal was sushi and my friend had the ribeye. We both had salads and for dessert shared delicious creme brûlée. Both of our meals were very good. I love the freshness of their fish.

Everything was pretty great. The oysters and sushi rolls were wonderful, and the cocktails amazing. While our server was delightful, she was not very attentive. We had to wait almost 10 min to ask for a missing side only to learn they were out. It would have been nice if she mentioned it when our food was delivered, or glanced our way the 10 times she was within 10 feet of our table. (Having served for 10+ years I learned to scan my area even if I was in the middle of another task. Overall it was a good experience and I'd definitely go back again.

Another great Christmas Eve dinner at Monterey. The ribeye and lobster bisque were amazing and the purple mash were on point as always. We were lucky to get Justin as our server. Knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. We were hoping he would be working.
