The Hangout Cafe - Carmel Hamlet

I've been here twice and really enjoy the ambiance and drinks. However, both times I came for lunch, they were not open at the stated hours. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 4.

This place is a hidden gem! I've visited several times, and each time the food is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff is excellent, and the ambiance is lovely. You might overlook it while passing by in the ShopRite shopping center, but be sure to make it a must-visit destination!

I can't speak to the in-person experience, but ordering through Uber Eats was a huge disappointment! I spent $87 on food that was stale and overcooked. My boyfriend's burger came on a stale bun that fell apart, and the meat was nearly raw. The fries either seemed fried in old oil or were just overcooked, and my rice tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. So frustrated! Ugh. Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner

We watched this restaurant being constructed during covid. That in of itself was courageous. We just saw the channel 12 news report on what this restaurant, it's owner staff have been going through. Disgraceful! We couldn't wait to move to Carmel, we can't wait to move. Such a beautiful area, but the level of hate, fueling racism, homophobia make it a dark ugly community! This isn't making America great, it's making America hate! For God's sake we ALL have red blood!! Keep serving up your wonderful food, stay strong! We stand in solidarity with you. God bless!!!
