Overall, it was a good experience. I guess selling the local artwork on the walls. Our server had a few fumbles with our drinks, but it was very friendly and met our needs well. I had the pulled pork sandwich with a salad. I liked it even though it was very easy on sauce and dressing (I would ask for extra sauce when I went back). The general consensus on my table was that the food was enjoyable, but nothing really came out.
We are hungry during a ride on CV Road and most places were reserved only on Mother's Day, but Trailside was open for walks! Great mood, and the pear cake looked tempting when we found a table near the bar. A BLT and a grilled cheese with tomato soup later that Tart found it way to our table. Delicious! Our server was friendly and efficient. She knew the menu and the backstory to the dishes. She also made a perfect espresso Macchiato. The music was a big background, we could just talk at our table, everything felt clean and welcoming. Maybe the new target in CV?
We went here for brunch. The food was great, my eggs were perfectly over easy and the pancakes were lightly crisped on the outside side and fluffy on the inside. They also have a range of juices that can be used for the mimosas, which is great because I am mildly allergic to orange juice. We liked this place so much we went back for dinner.
Very accommodating. We called to place our order ahead for dine in since we were on a time crunch. We arrived, sat down and immediately got our food. I ordered their Trail Cafe special (I think that's the name) and everything was cooked and tasted really good! My favorite part were the pancakes. Highly recommend this place for anyone who's passing through Carmel Valley!
