I also rode old tricycles down a small hill, reminiscent of my childhood in the countryside. We picked our own pumpkins and grabbed some coffee. There are horse-drawn hayrides and a tractor ride too. The charming barn is filled with fresh produce and other farm products like butter, cheese, jams, and preserves, along with some great gift items. We'll definitely be back!
Allways offers wonderful produce, and the staff are incredibly friendly. October, during Harvest Time, is definitely the best time to visit.
I always look forward to our annual visit to Jubilee Farm's Pumpkin Patch. One of their unique attractions is the pumpkin-launching trebuchet, which they demonstrate every hour. Kids have a blast chasing after the pumpkins when they're launched and delivering the smashed pieces to the well-fed, healthy-looking pigs. They also offer small horse and pony rides, and there are usually a couple of food trucks along with a few local craft vendors selling items like honey, jams, jewelry, and other handmade goods. The atmosphere feels like a genuine working farm and CSA, with the pumpkin patch as a lovely addition. If you’re looking for something more commercial, you can head down the road to Remlinger Farm, which features carnival rides, a restaurant, and live shows. However, if you prefer a smaller, more wholesome experience, Jubilee is the place to go. Pumpkins are sold by the pound at reasonable prices. I'm especially glad they've made it through the pandemic, as so many small, local businesses have struggled in recent years.
Incredible CSA! It’s well worth the cost, especially when you consider how much you’d spend on groceries over six months. Everything is fresh and organic, and there’s a wonderful variety. It encourages me to eat healthier and get creative in the kitchen, and I truly love every aspect of it. Once you experience this, you won’t want to return to supermarket produce. Plus, during the summer, you can create a bouquet of flowers most weeks and pick a variety of herbs.
We visited this restaurant with my daughter’s preschool. Although we arrived on time, they were running late, and the kids unfortunately missed their chance to ride on the truck. Our group was skipped, while the next group got to enjoy the ride. The trip around the farm was quite brief. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
