Omi Japanese Hibachi - Carney

The best Japanese hibachi fast food joint that I have found in Baltimore hands down! Highly recommend !!! Omi, by the way, means Grandma in German...

I've been coming here for a couple years now and today was the the only unhappy experience at Omi. It appears they have reduced the size if their entree. I asked for vegetables in my tappanaki and I got almost nothing. I will give it another chance, but I'm guessing the results will be the same.

This place is great. The food is a step above the mall food court, and it’s cheaper. They are always very friendly and provide quick service. The free yum yum sauce is always appreciated.

The food was very good, I must admit. The service, not as much, I showed up about 15 minutes before posted closing time, and when I sat down to eat my food, they shooed me out the door saying they're closing. I get it, makes sense. But i am now sitting in the car with my food finished, and they're still inside cleaning and doing whatever. So, kinda pointless really. The food was good though, but I likely won't return due to the customer service aspect.
