Pine Lake Lodge - Caroga Lake

I used to frequent the Pine Lake Lodge when it was called Tory's. I have fond memories of the lodge and the beach nearby. I remember jogging down West Stoner to buy the day-old Guide Herald from the machine across the street. My father used to tell stories about famous country acts that performed across the street and the large crowds in the 70s. While I don't recall those events specifically, I do remember the summers spent at the lodge. The bar would turn into a rollercoaster and my dad would fall asleep on the hardwood floor with his fists clenched. In the summer, they would build a giant water slide on the road and even dug a small pool with an indentation still visible on the floor. While not all of those memories are of the Pine Lake Lodge specifically, the entire camping site, beach, and inn are worth checking out. The area has a unique, nostalgic feeling that is hard to come by, yet it still feels safe and close to civilization. I have eaten at the lodge multiple times and have always been satisfied. One of the best things about the Pine Lake Lodge is their consistent opening hours on Thursdays through Sundays, even on holidays. I have heard they also offer a great selection of winter activities, although I have yet to experience them myself. My personal favorite dish is the Srichai wings - extra crispy and jumbo with chunky blue cheese. They are enough for three meals! I can't wait to go back before Labor Day. The lodge is located in the central foothills of the Adirondacks, near Pleasant, Broadalbin, Arietta, and Stratburg. While the service may be spotty, be sure to download the Pine Lake menu before visiting. You won't be disappointed. Check it out!

This is a wonderful restaurant with delicious food and a great menu. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend it to anyone and we will definitely be returning in the future.
