Venta El Punto - Carratraca

Due to Covid, we ate outside on New Year's Day. A tablecloth was immediately brought to the table after we chose our spot. We ordered main courses, but we enjoyed the fresh, warm bread and cheese and crackers brought to our table while we waited for the main dish. The attentiveness of the staff and the quality of the food made us feel we were dining in a very expensive restaurant, but our entrees were very reasonably priced. We paid about 40 euro for 3 of us to have a nice lunch. We highly recommend!

This place is great the owner, Miguel ,takes great pride in his service and food and it really shows. It is amazing value the menu del día at lunchtime Tuesday to Thursday is delicious and an absolute bargain. On an evening you can choose a la carte from a wide selection of local tapas and raciones. Good wine list, very friendly staff who will speak a smattering of English (menu also in English as well as Spanish . Opens until very late and most of the locals eat at, what to us Brits, seems very late (930ish... . If you are in the lovely, friendly little village of Carratraca you should not miss this place.

We were renting a villa in this mainly working village. There are a few bars/resaurants which our villa's notes recommended. El Punto was their favourite. We never quite saw why. On the one evening we tried it, the staff seemed to be totally overwhelmed. Couldn't even manage to get a drink in the 20 minutes or so we wasted. The feeling was well amplified within the clientele. Hopefully this was just the remnants of the high season curtailed. Staff cuts etc. Needless to say, we were too turned off to try again. There are other places that we really enjoyed.

Una comida muy buena y un servicio educado, atento y amable. No quiero escribir mas, no se por que me obliga por narices acribir 120 caracteres como mínimo.

Todo delicioso, excelente tratamiento y recomendación para ordenar mientras íbamos a pedir mucha comida y nos dijo que íbamos bien, sin duda, si vas al Paseo del Rey puedes comer muy bien y a buen precio
