El Toro - Cartagena

We came here in 2019 pre covid and loved it so were keen to visit again. It did not disappoint. The two staff we met were lovely, explained the menu well (and stopped us over-ordering! the goat cheese salad, the chorizo and the prawns were the highlights. We will definitely return next time we are in the region.

My family had dinner here in February 2022 (including 3 ypung fussy girls). We ordered lots of dishes and enjoyed pretty much every one. Was very difficult to pick a favourite every one was a winner. We will definitely return. Great service too.

Visited this restaurant 6 years ago and loved it, so we were a little apprehensive that our return visit would not live up to expectations. No need to worry, from the moment we sat down and read all the delicious sounding items on the menu I knew we were in for another treat, the only problem is trying to make a choice. We ordered 3 items to start with, Garlic Prawns, delicious make sure you have the bread in order to mop up the juices, Confit Duck filo parcels, yummy, and the Chilli Soy Mushrooms, wonderful. I remembered that the last time we came we had a particularly good pudding so instead of ordering another main we had the Brownie with ice cream and caramel sauce, divine. Everything here is so well cooked and incredibly fresh tasting. Service is efficient and this restaurant is very popular, so booking is highly recommended.

Our first time back since before covid it was just as great as before. Pleased the menu hadn’t changed much, always a few new things, but still have our favourite chicken livers. So pleased to be able to go back eat the wonderful tapas.
