Contribuisci feedbackI live in charlotte nc. After spending a sunday in Raleigh I was craving kbbq. And i knew cary had a good population of koreans. Went there around 4-430 nobody was there eating. First sign of it might not be good. Then about 20min later another couple went in. We order the “signature “ pork belly and beef bulgogi. The pork was way to thick to cook. It was 30%meat and 70% fat. Beef a mustard yellow color I asked the waitress what that was because i thought they brought me the wrong item. Beef was marinated but it had no flavor. My wife ask for more kim chi because they gave us a very little amount. The waitress said the policy is when we done with the kim chi she will bring us more. Out of the bon chon we only eat kim chi and fishcakes the portion was so small we would have to call her every 5 minutes to refill the kim chi so thats why we always just ask for another dish of kim chi. We didnt want to bother the waitress. at the end she ask my why didnt you finish the remaining beef bulgogi. because it has no taste no flavor!! you think i would leave half a plate of beef that was $35 !!! all in all not a good experience. for $70 i would rather go to h mart buy one tray of beef one tray of pork marinate at home and cook it on our grill and it would taste alot better then here stay away from here. try other places wished i did. first time last time.
The portions are generous. You would have a wonderful problem of running out of space for food on your table. The BBQ combos are decent for a table of 4 although they say serves 2-3. With an appetizer of kimchi pancake and BBQ combo we had enough to eat. Makgeolis and Soju are your to go comfort alcohols with all the meat. The staff is quite friendly and kind, and there is ample parking around.
Pretty disappointed experience. We tried this Honey Pig because we had good experience in the DC area. Was quite excited when we saw it opened a new one in Cary. It turned out to be the opposite of our expectation. We came in at 12:30pm for a Saturday lunch. Only two tables had customers. But it took a good 30 minutes until they serve any appetizer or those side dishes to us. The server told us there was only one cook to prepare everyone’s appetizer. But how about serving some side dish first so the customers are not left hungry? Then when the full plate of meat came, there was not much of an explanation of which meat is what and how long we should grill, let alone grill it for us. Definitely a big gap of service quality comparing to their DC franchise. At the end, some of our family members lost the appetite because the meat was too dry. We ended up having to take half meat home. The tips were automatically charged because we had a party of 5. If had a choice, we would leave much less than that. Won’t come back again. There are better Korean BBQ in the area.
Love this place, this is my first time at this particular location, but I’ve been to this establishment in MD.I do remember their signature dipping sauce was better but I could be wrong. Also, they didn’t have Boba tea or smoothies at this location :
The food is great and the service is awesome. Came in at 5 on a Sunday no wait and had a great time. I would recommend this place to anyone. Location is great also, looked nice inside.
