Kashin Japanese - Cary

While following Google Maps closely, I had trouble finding Poke Republic and ended up calling the restaurant. They answered the phone with the name "Kashin," which is what the sign outside says. However, Google Maps labels it as "Poke Republic." So, just a heads up: if you’re heading there, look for Kashin instead.

I haven't come across a Japanese restaurant as great as this one in RTP. The udon was amazing! My friend and I also tried the tofu appetizer and shrimp tempura, and both were perfect! I will definitely be returning for the cozy and authentic Japanese atmosphere.

Cramped place. Good food but not worth the price they're charging you for. Our sever was new. Instead of allowing the server to complete our order, the manager was telling her how the food was going to be served. Like dude... I get what you're trying to do, but I'm trying to place my order and you're interruption isn't helping.Food: 4/5

Delightful sushi and ramen! Chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday with my family. Enjoyed a large table that fit us all. We ordered two miso ramens as well as a Rainbow roll and Alaskan Roll. The Alaskan was my favorite with the little lemon slices on top love the citrus bursts. The staff was accommodating and allowed us to order avocado rolls fort children. Service was quick and checked on us for more napkins and refills. This restaurant is fantastic for vegans and those with gluten sensitivities. They offer a separate gluten-free menu, which eliminates the guesswork when ordering for those with dietary restrictions! I had a gluten-free poke bowl and the plum and shiso roll, while my partner tried the kitsune udon (which isn’t gluten-free). I would rate it 10/10 and definitely plan to return. It's not often you find kitsune udon! Dietary restrictions: gluten-free menu available.
