We ordered two drinks (one beer and a gin and tonic). When the drinks arrived the beer was perfect however, the gin and tonic was watery and flat. There were two members of staff serving on the night, a really pleasant young lady and a man who appeared to be in charge. We pointed out that the tonic in the gin was flat and that the drink was extremely watery and the man, in an extremely rude way, said that they serve tonic from the tap and we would have to accept the drink as it was. My wife said she couldn’t enjoy the drink as it was and the man turned away and ignored her. We heard the young lady asking if she should change the drink. However he refused. Having a new drink would have resolved the issue although this option was not offered. My wife asked for the bill and again we heard the young lady asking the man if she should remove the cost of the gin and tonic as it had not been drunk. He refused again and we got a bill for approximately 15 euros which we paid reluctantly. We felt really upset and disappointed especially as everything else about our holiday was perfect. We feel that this man would benefit from customer service training. Had he listened and addressed the situation correctly we would have carried on visiting as it was next door to our hotel. We would never return.
Whilst staying at the Palacio Hotel, stopped here for morning breakfast on the way to the promenade. Good service and ideally situated as there is a paper shop next door
Their “tapas” consist of a rye cracker with some (supermarket) cream cheese. Bad service too -typical “tourist trap” restaurant.
So I don’t understand why this bars location is being remarked upon yes it’s on a fairly busy road you know that when you choose to go! It also has a view of the sea but nobody noted that! So back to the review the beer and food is cheap and good in the case of food it’s a small menu but cheap and tasty. The service can be a little Portuguese but we found them to be attentive once they had chance to get to you, it’s a bar with a few tables what do you expect.
Called for a drink after a long walk sat outside terrible view of busy road.Sent in to settle bill blonde barmaid ignored me and served a few men who attended the bar after me so not happy then I heard her snapping at a waitress . I think her people skills leave a lot to be desired . Estoril is crying out for a good bar sadly this one does not fit the bill.
