Lovely place for eat with friends and family. The food is so delicious, I loved the cod fish, wine and dessert and amazing atmosphere! A good place for celebration the LIFE!

Amazing food! The octopus is so soft and delicious. The staff is welcoming and kind. When we arrive the outside was full, we decided to sit inside anyway. A few minutes later a spot outside became available and they moved us outside.

We have only lived in Portugal for one week but were seeking a restaurant that would personify our image of Portugal. We selected Taberna because it was highly ranked which is unusual for a smaller restaurant. We can now see why. It is a small restaurant in the main village area of Cascais which is picturesque in itself. The restaurant itself exudes ambience. Operated by the owner, a very kind woman and a small staff Our waiter Roshan (see picture) was great! The patrons were an eclectic mix of Portugese, Americans (us) and British but it was truly a local restaurant. We ordered the Piano Duero wine and the seafood for two. It was absolutely delicious. By the end of the meal we had become good friends with the owner and server and look forward to many more trips to Taberna
