El Lechuguero - Cascante

Set in a little street next to a church, locals come to dine. The only slight negative is that parking is a couple of hundred meters away in the village square but this minor inconvenience actually added to the location's charm and I really enjoyed the dinner and wine. Found it to be a superb half way stop off driving between Valencia and Bilbao stayed for 1 night.

We found this place by accident while looking for a place to have lunch. It didn't look too promising from the outside (we had to enter through the bar which was dark and empty). We crossed the door to find a busy restaurant, but they quickly found us a table. The lunch menu offered great value for money: food was delicious and wine and water were included in the price. Smiling and helpful staff, would def come back if ever in the region again.

We were there for the Roman Dinner, at the end of the Roman Week. Everything was perfect. the place has mixture of modern and classic decoration, it was almost full but not crowdy, They had prepared a special menu inspired in Roman's recipes, all with typical Mediterranean ingredients, olive oil, olives, cheese, chicken, cuttlefish, anchovy, etc... They prepared a special drink with rose scent very sweet and refreshing. Very nice experience, we will repeat next year for sure!

Altamente recomendado. un gran descubrimiento. restaurante de alto nivel a precios muy atractivos. un menú variado y fantástico con platos muy bien elaborados, en términos de servicio, realmente se proponen servir a cada uno de sus clientes.

No he estado por ahí durante mucho tiempo, y lo mejor es que no han cambiado. su cocina es todavía exquisita, y su atención inmejorable, da goteo para llegar allí y saborear esos maravillosos platos, para repetir y repetir. Tengo que acercarme más veces.
