Caspar Pub House

The last of the early 20th century roadhouses with a view of the ocean from the front porch that is worth thousands. Now has a cafe that serves Tacos, pizzas, sandwiches prepared by a top notch cook. Wednesday and Thursday, dancing and open mic. Friday and Saturday a variety of musical groups from rock to reggae. A hidden gem on the coast midway between Ft. Bragg CA and Mendocino town. Don't tell too many people or we will have to deal with crowds.

Saw Zeparrella there back in November. Rocked my socks off! Been there a handful of times over the years when visiting sis in Mendo. Great music venue. Up close and loud. People have always been nice to me and great bar keeps. Hope to be back again next year especially if the hotties of Zeparrella return as it seems they've been repeat performers.

If you want good music this is the place. I haven't been there in some time but there are often up and coming acts with a great dance floor but i haven't been there in ten years.

We had a ton of fun here with DJ Ramos, we danced our booties off! but the whole place smelled like BO so bad. The bartender and the barback were the worst offenders. This place needs some ventilation! I'll be going back soon though. It was a great vibe and energy.

I recently discovered the Caspar Pub House, located in the charming village of Caspar above the Pacific Ocean, just off CA-1, and what a delightful find it was! The pub is nestled in a 100+ year old inn and the food was simply outstanding. Although they were out of the dish we originally wanted, the Hardenburger was a pleasant surprise - large and incredibly tasty. The bacon on it was especially delicious! I also tried the Lamb Sheperds Pie Pasty as a bar bite, expecting a small portion, but was pleasantly surprised by the flaky and light pastry. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was lively, with both locals and tourists enjoying themselves. We unfortunately missed the live music, but I can imagine it would be a great time later in the evening. We'll definitely be returning to Caspar Pub House in the future. So moist and full of flavor.
