La Casa Encesa - Castelló de la Plana

We have been travelling to Oropesa every summer for the last twenty five years, but only discovered this gem last year. Located in the old town, up winding streets, it is a small restaurant so I strongly suggest reserving a table. The food is varied but everything we tried was delicious. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back next year.

I stayed in Orpesa del Mar during the Benicassim festival. This restaurant was recommended by the person we rented an apartment from. The menu was completely in Spanish however the staff were so helpful and explained the entire menu. The dishes are tapas but are made to share between 3/4 people. The food was the most amazing food I have had in a long time and definitely the best tapas I have ever had. There was a lot to choose from, so much so that we made a return visit the following week. The restaurant has a beautiful roof terrace and had a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Can't recommend this restaurant enough.

Privileged place to dine in oropesa, the terrace is a luxury. Dinner has not been better, all amazing, from the incoming to the octopus (which has seemed to us something expensive until we have tasted it and it is worth it) to the oxon that is very generous and very good. without sticks, very friendly and all very good included wine. to come back without doubt!!!!!

Great quality of products, treated perfectly to enjoy in a wonderful enclave in the oropesa village. the menu has a variety of dishes to choose for all drops. The spectacular pacifier. the scallop with thai sauce. good wine menu and very friendly service that advises phenomenal.

No hace falta decir mucho de este sitio, ¡es espectacular! No es low cost, pero el genero de la comida es inmejorable, y el mimo con el que tratan el producto también difícil de superar. El rodaballo que comimos hecho a la brasa en el momento, buenísimo se queda corto.No tienen una carta amplísima, tampoco es necesario, en mi opinión un sitio para volver una y otra vez, no obstante a razón del precio y de que la carta no es extensisima, si vives en Oropesa o la zona, iría una vez al.mes Seguro, como no vivimos aquí pero si que venimos varias veces al año, pues lo dicho. El ambiente espectacular, la atención increíble, y el local de los que hay que conservar como sea. Volveremos.
