We started dinner with some guacamole and chips which was very good but the ratio of guac to chips was completely off, as shown in the picture. They also do not provide complementary salsa which would have been a great way to use the abundance of chips. We had the Blood Orange Margarita and the Spicy Margarita. Both of which were very good and be prepared for the spicy Margaritato be very spicy. Finally we ordered some Tacos, our favorites were the chicken and shrimp. We also ordered the steak and pork tacos as well. Our one complaint about the tacos is they charge more than $5 for a street taco, which is a bitexcessive. However when you factor in the location of the restaurant being under the new apartment complex, it makes sense. The atmosphere had a cool vibe but very crowded, you were sitting shoulder to shoulder with other customers andwere packed in very tight. When the weather gets warmer they can utilize the outdoor patio which can hopefully mitigate some of the crowdedness. Expect to spend between $85-$100 for a dinner for 2.
I really want to love this place. I can tell there is love put into their food, their ingredients, and their drinks. That being said, the prices are absolutely astronomical. Someone next to me ordered a draft beer and it was $9. Yikes. My husband and I went to brunch and each had one taco, shared an appetizer of guacamole, two margaritas, along with a small neat pour of a decent tequila. Our bill after tip was $150, including a $5 kitchen appreciation fee ? you can easilygo to Tribe across the street for a really fancy meal and spend around that or less. The prices on the check were approximately a dollar more on each than what was listed on the menu, too. We didn?t battle for it but that felt a bit shady. It seems like these are Denver prices in a still growing suburb and I?m afraid I can?t visit as much as I would like because there?s just so many more reasonable and delicious options around. La Loma is honestly more cost effective, portions are bigger, and the experience is totally different and much more worth it. Hopefully Dos Santos can adjust because I?d love to see them make it!
Excellent flavor, variety of menu choices, artistic plating, good attention to detail. Glad to see street tacos hitting the Castle Rock food scene!! Chips are made in house and are not too thick or thin. Yummy salsas! Energetic vibe and
We went to Dos Santos for lunch and they had a limited brunch menu. We had two tacos, tinga chips, two margaritas, chips and salsa. Our bill with tip ended up being $76. That?s too expensive and I typically hate paying for chips and salsa but to pay $2 extra to get another 4 ounce bowl is stupid. The food was fine and service was good which is the only reason for a 4 star review. My suggestion is to not charge for extra salsa or chips and bring the price down to $3.00and have all your tacos available after noon.
Paige was beyond fantastic! Not only did she have a wonderful personality, but she brought forth wonderful food/drink recommendations and shows exemplary customer service skills. The house margarita with the jalapeño was a top recommendation from her and I would definitely recommend! Please do yourself a favor and check out Dos Santos and demand you ask for Paige! Absolutely stellar service and wonderful person! The food was delicious, the drinks where amazingand Paige made the first experience memorable! Will definitely come back just for her!
