This is a delightful restaurant with stylish modern-traditional decor. The food is delicious and the staff is welcoming and friendly.
We visited early October. Its a fine restaurant well laid out, with excellent service. What really surprised us was the value. The night we visited was busy but plenty of help at hand, the menu offered a good variety but the quality and value was really excellent, especially when its nothing but bad news about rising prices. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant, fantastic food and service, a credit to breaffy hotel.
My friends chicken was not edible or the sauce, she described the peas as tasting like fairy liquid. This was the Thai chicken curry, I asked the waitress what the garlic ciabatta with cheese was like she said it was very very nice, it was fine but 6.50 for two pieces of bread, I was sorry I didn’t get the soup. Both our cokes came down flat twice. I paid 16.50 for a very basic pasta carbonara that consisted of watery sauce which was very salty, waitress did not check on us at all during the meal or asked if we wanted anything, they didn’t even bring the bill down, they overcharged me for my friends chicken four euro, as I got no receipt I went back and the waitress told me I was asked if I wanted a receipt which I was not asked. On this second attempt she failed to give me a receipt, she said out of good will she was giving me the coke free of charge I explained to her how both rounds were flat she said she asked us were they ok which she didn’t, she failed to refund me my four euro and she said I could get a free drink which we were going home. Very disappointed wouldn’t recommend to anyone for a four star hotel
I reserved a table at the main restaurant for my wife 30th birthday and required a candle to come with her dessert .. Nothing happened..but they had cake and candles for the table beside us @33th)... My wife was very sad because she thought was for her.we were told by the restaurant manager padraig flynn that he didn't know anything bout it. I did book the table 24 hours before. Didn't know or didn't contacted by the reception hotel who was take the booking. Service was very poor except for the sommelier Alex(very kind and really know his job).. The food itself wasn't what we have expected. Fish of the day was monkfish, which is a superb fish, but unfortunately it was frozen, very dry, overcooked and tasteless. The manager restaurant never apologised for the big mistake.. We will Never come back to the restaurant... What a shame and what q désappointement for my wife
