The restaurant was disappointing. The borscht was not traditional, as it seemed to have carrots instead of beets. The taste was average, not what I was hoping for. The pierogi were like filled pastry sandwiches, with the cheese and potato filling being the best. The bean filling felt like a meat substitute. The menu was very limited, but the staff were friendly and the counter service was quick and efficient.
The restaurant offers friendly service and delicious food, including take-and-bake options, a variety of alcoholic beverages, pizza by the slice, sandwiches, and tasty treats. Highly recommended!
We stopped at this sweet little mountain chalet style shop to see what is in stock in the way of prepared Russian food. I didn't see anything that made my mouthwater. But they had Quart Pint seals of buckwheat honey other local... Honeys. I couldn't resist buying a glass of buckwheat honey. I cost it because I came home can testify it's delicious. My husband ordered a coffee that was excellent in quality. This is a good place to stretch your legs, have a coffee, possibly lunch.
I love this little gem! Always a smile served from this family run place with the delicious made to order sandwiches, soups and pizza, and oh the borsht is to die for! There is so much going on in this little place like the home...made take and bake dinners from lasagna to shepards pie, and dont forget about all the beautiful desserts, if you haven't stopped you need too!!
