I ordered the fruit toast with jam. The toast was so saturated with oil it was inedible. I cringed with each mouthful I ate which weren't many. I left the majority of the meal on my plate and paid for the full amount. They didnt even ofter to replace the meal. I was also sitting at the table for awhile whilst others that had just walked in were being served. I will not be going back which is a shame as the coffee was good.
Stunning food and gorgeous setting with extremely friendly and knowledgeable service. We arrived on a freezing, rainy Tuesday night and walked into the cosiest, most welcoming setting. From the exotic groups of hanging, lanternesque lights to the long, cushioned banquette seating and perfect ambient background music.The long menu was a series of taste bud delights - the star was the gnocchi in a flavoursome umami foam broth - best gnocchi we have ever had, as fluffy and light as a marshmallow. So many delicious textures on each dish the beetroot with sorbet is genius!It wasn't just a meal, it was an experience. My partner can't stop raving this place; we would drive all the way to Castlemaine just for the food!
