Los Molcajetes Mexican - Castro Valley

I haven't dined here in a few years, but I gave it 3 stars for the atmosphere because our table was a bit sticky. However, the food was excellent. My date ordered the chicken fajitas and I got the 3 piece combo which included 2 pork tamales and one chicken taco. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were reasonable [fajitas=$22, 3 piece combo=$19]. The rice was fluffy, the refried beans were not too runny, and the fajitas portion was huge. My chicken taco was full of tasty chicken and the pork tamales were top notch. The service was attentive and friendly. Overall, I had a great dining experience and will definitely be returning.

Excellent and authentic Mexican fare. Service was cheerful and competent. Dining room decor is a bit on the spartan side but not a problem. But I don’t appreciate 18% gratuity being automatically added into the bill without my consent.

We absolutely love this place as a family! My favourite dish is the Veggie Molcajete. Thank you!

The food was very delicious with the molcajete being extremely hot please be careful . waitresses are extremely kind and helpful with all questions you may have. The seafood was also very flavorful and succulent. Clean establishment as well, would recommend them to clean their menus.

The food at this restaurant is incredibly tasty and full of flavor, I will definitely be returning for another visit.
