Li Yuen Chinese - CASTROVILLE

Great value for money and authentic tasting Chinese food. They serve huge portions. The ambience could certainly improve a lot but it does not matter if you're there for food.

The food is good and reasonably priced, but just order take out. I do not get the impression that they want people to eat inside the restaurant, since they are not set up for it and did not pay attention to us. We ordered a meal option that came with hot tea and did not get any even after we asked, and we were never offered water. They use Styrofoam plates and plasticware for people dining in, and the tables and chairs are not really set up well. We do appreciate that they are open later than other places in the area, but they were sure to let us know when they were closing in ten minutes. I am very respectful of other people's time the push out of the restaurant was unnecessary.

Visited as it has good rating. When we went in, we were greeted by flies flying all over the restaurant. The lady recommended stir fry thick rice noodle which wasnt on their menu. We were disappointed as it was bland, dry and they charged us exorbitant price for it. Their set dinner was alright not fantastic. Will not come back again.

Li Yuen was for years our go to restaurant fairly nearby. So disappointed on our recent visit and we feel we cannot go back. The cleanliness of items on the table like the soy sauce containers well, not clean. Our food was not nearly as good as it used to be. Even the hot mustard , now in a plastic packet, flavorless. How is that even possible? The service did not feel friendly. Maybe this was just an off day so the 2 star

Very good food always hot and delicious service is excellent..I recommend their soups when you are not feeling well it will bring you back to health.. prices are very reasonable..
